Refurbishment works on the Rocks at Gibraltar, Cummeen Strand are set to begin in the second quarter of 2023.
The news was welcomed at this month's meeting of Sligo Borough Council, after funding had been allocated to carry out the works last week.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Councillor Rosaleen O'Grady was pleased that the development works will get underway as quickly as possible.
