The Government is under pressure to sanction the funding needed to progress the promised cancer centre for the region.
Recently it was claimed that the West and North West are the most deprived areas of the country with a higher cancer incidence and mortality.
There are calls for the appointment of a Specialist Project Management Team in a bid to get the project underway.
