It's been claimed that some GPs in the North West are charging medical card patients for routine blood tests.
One patient who is in their 80s has been told recently that they can either attend a hospital to get their bloods taken or else pay the GP for it.
Medical card holders should avail of this service free of charge as its HSE funded.
