Issues surrounding Lough Melvin look set to eradicated following the publication of a comprehensive report has been published highlighting effective methods to safeguard the water quality there.
Paul Johnston Associates, a leading fisheries consultancy specialising in fisheries conservation and freshwater ecology has published the report.
It is the first report into Lough Melvin since the Northern Regional Fisheries Board's in 2008.
Sewage and algae bloom have previously affected the lake.

Local Councillor and chairperson of the Kinlough Community Development Company, Justin Warnock says the community must work together to improve the water quality in the lake.
