An investigation has been launched after a number of election posters were vandalised in North Leitrim over the weekend.
With just a few days into the campaign, a number of posters belonging to Fianna Fail candidate Edel MacSharry and Sinn Fein candidate Martin Kenny were discovered defaced in Drumkeeran and Dromahair.
The matter has been reported to Gardai.
