'Investment needed' in rural towns & villages

A Donegal TD has said he the government needs to “significantly increase development” of the country's rural towns and smaller villages.

Speaking in the Dáil, Independent Deputy Thomas Pringle named checked villages Teelin, Carrick and Glencolmcille in calling for “proper policies that prioritise the development of rural areas.”

The Killybegs-based TD previously voted against the Government in a motion of no confidence after the decision not to extend the ban on evictions.

He believes the government has failed spectacularly with regards the housing crisis.
