Leitrim Animal Welfare Centre has spoken about the importance of World Animal Day, which takes place today.
The day is used to put the spotlight on animal centres and highlight the supports that are needed for the service.
Charity group MADRA completed a study where they stressed that all animal centres are working at capacity.
