A Leitrim vet has issued a reminder for the looming deadline to register XL Bully dogs.
All XL Bully owners have to acquire a certificate of exemption for their pet before February 1st.
Latest figures from December show around 235 certificates have been issued nationwide, which is far below the expected number.
