A Sligo Leitrim TD has moved this morning to end speculation that the Yeats Country Hotel in Rosses Point could be sold for direct provision purposes.
The hotel, which had been used to house Ukrainian refugees for the last couple of years, went on the market late last year.
The property which comprises of almost 100 bedrooms is located right beside the County Sligo Golf Club.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Sligo Leitrim Deputy, Frank Feighan says he has received confirmation from the Department of Integration that they have made no offers and are not examining the Old Yeats Country Hotel for future use.
The Department also said the facility is not listed under possible acquisitions or as an ‘expression of interest’ property.
