There's major concern that many children in the North West continue to face long delays for spinal surgeries.
Sinn Fein tabled a motion in the Dail yesterday on orthopaedic and urology services, which calls on the Government to address the growing waiting lists for children with scoliosis and spina bifida.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly said that he was informed that a €19m allocation would bring the number of children awaiting surgeries from four months to zero and this has not happened.
He's to send HSE auditors to investigate the matter.
