A North West MEP has stressed the importance of protections being in place for irish Food and alcohol exporters.
After threating yesterday to impose a potential 200 per cent tariff on alcohol exports from the EU yesteday, there are fears this morning that Donald Trump will target Ireland's agri-food industry with tariffs.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin has called for dialogue between the two sides in the coming weeks.
