The outgoing Housing Minister has driven a knife through housing policy in County Sligo.
That's according to Independent Ireland General Election candidate and Cllr Michael Clarke, who has revealed that Darragh O'Brien may remove over 70 hectares of land from the Sligo County Development Plan which is intended for residential zoning.

It effectively means that a substantial amount of much needed homes in the County may no longer be built.
Cllr Clarke expects all local representatives to reject the proposals:
