Pearse Doherty has been re-elected to the Donegal constituency.
The Sinn Féin candidate's total of 19,213 votes ensured he topped the poll following the first count at the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny.
Doherty was first elected to the Dáil in 2010 as part of the Donegal south west constituency.
He was subsequently elected in 2016 and 2020 elections in the Donegal constituency.
