RNLI volunteers in Donegal have been praised for their actions in a mammoth 12 hour rescue operation.
Two competitors in a major sailing race were rescued in a dramatic overnight operation by Lough Swilly lifeboat crew in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The yacht, had lost power and its sails had become tangled in the mast.
