Sligo County Council outdoor staff have been praised for their efforts in gritting roads and footpaths in the region.
And although precautions have taken place, pedestrians are still being warned over treacherous conditions within the town.
High footfall locations like car parks have been targeted for gritting but care should be taken at all locations.
