Students can't be forced to keep taking the hits when it comes to the accommodation crisis.
That's the view of one of ATU Sligo Student Union's Vice Presidents, who was speaking after it was revealed late last week that Milligan Court in Sligo town is to now house refugees.
Almost 180 asylum seekers are due to move in to the building, which was previously designated as student accommodation.
It's also understood that an application to house more asylum seekers at Benbulben Court, another student complex, is yet to be approved.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, ATU Sligo SU Vice President, Emil Kindl, says the Government should consider their next steps carefully.
