Sligo University Hospital has opened a brand new 26 bed ward.
The new Medical Offsite Ward comprising of six four-bed rooms and two single en-suite rooms, is located at St John’s Community Hospital, Sligo.
As healthcare services face increase demand, the new development aims to ease patient flow from the Emergency Department and throughout the hospital.
Sligo-Leitrim Fine Gael TD Frank Feighan has praised the staff for their efforts in getting the ward opened:
