MacDiarmada Gaels are Leitirm under-20 division one football champions for 2024 following a spirited 1-21 to 1-18 win over Glencar-Manorhamilton in a pulsating county championship final played in Drumkeerin on Tuesday evening.
MacDiarmada Gaels, who are an amalgamation of Ballinamore Seán O'Heslins and Kiltubrid will thank their marquee forward Paul Honeyman, who's personal tally of 1-13 propelled his side to victory.
The game finished 1-16 apiece after normal time with Bailey McBride registering the goal for the north Leitrim men.
It was MacDiarmada Gaels' greater scoring prowess in extra-time that proved the difference.
