Sligo's famous Warrior's Run takes place this Saturday in Strandhill. The gruelling 15k run, which brings competitors up and down Knocknarea Mountain, and gets underway at 2.30pm.
Normally, running up and down a mountain once would be a difficult enough task in itself, but one Sligo man has decided to run it twice.
Alan Gilmartin, more commonly known around Sligo as Pal, will do the Warrior's Run twice in one go, in order to raise much needed funds for Motor Neurone Disease.
It's understood that this is a feat that nobody else has ever achieved, and to date, over €15,000 has been raised.

Speaking to Ocean FM Sport this afternoon, Pal says the support he has received so far has been phenomenal.
