Abbey Vocational School Donegal Town's senior boys gaelic footballers are through to the Ulster Colleges MacRory Cup semi-finals following Sunday's 1-7 to 1-5 quarter-final victory over St Colman's of Newry in Convoy.
In their first year competing in Ulster Colleges football's premier post-primary competition, the Donegal Town needed all their mettle to edge past their Down opponents.
AVS Donegal enjoyed an historic 2024 wiinning Ulster MacLarnon and All-Ireland 'B' titles - which promoted them to the 'A' championship that is the MacRory this year.
Now they are through to the last four of the competition.
The other Donegal team in the competition, South West, will play holders Omagh CBS in their last-eight game next Sunday.
