It took overtime to do it - but EJ Sligo All-Stars remain in contention for an end-of-season play-off place in the men's Super League following Wednesday night's 98-95 win over bottom-of-the-table Maree in Galway.
It was a far from flawless All-Stars display as the allowed a five-point lead half-time lead to become a five-point deficit by the end of the third quarter, after an error-strewn Q3.
However, to the All-Stars credit, the heads never dropped.
Tom Child scored an excellent three-pointer at a key stage in the game - and two late free-throws from Jonathon Brown brought the teams level in the closing seconds to force overtime.
In overtime, the All-Stars got in front early and managed to stay there - albeit there were some nervy moments in the closing stages.
With the win secured, Shane O'Meara's side will now regroup for back-to-back home games this weekend - against Super League leaders UCC Demons on Saturday night (7:30pm), followed by Templeogue on Sunday afternoon (3pm).
