EJ Sligo All-Stars gave their end-of-season play-off hopes a big boost on Wednesday night with a 82-81 victory over Neptune in Cork.
The game came down to the final six seconds with Neptune in possession and trailing by a point - but the All-Stars defence held firm to secure a significant win on the road.
The All-Stars remain in 10th position in the Super League table - but they have now closed to within three points of the play-off places with seven matches still to play.
With two games in hand on the two teams directly above them, securing a top-eight finish and a place in the play-offs is still very much on.
