Allen Gaels booked their place in the 2024 Leitrim Smith Monumentals intermediate football final with a 4-10 to 1-6 semi-final win over 10-man Drumkeerin on Saturday evening in Mohill.
Gaels always looked the more likely winners in this game although wayword shooting in the early stages was a worry for the Drumshanbo side.
A red card for Drumkeerin's Daniel Maguire early in the second-half, made an already challenging situation for the north Leitrim club even more daunting and Gaels ran out convincing 13-point winners in the end.
The second semi-final between Melvin Gaels and Carrigallen takes place on Sunday at 2pm in Shane McGettigan Memorial Park in Drumshanbo.
In Saturday evening's senior relegation final, Glencar/Manorhamilton scored a 0-16 to 0-109 win over last year's intermediate winners Annaduff to preserve their status in a smaller Connacht Gold senior championship (eight teams) for 2025.
Annaduff join already-relegated Gortletteragh and Dromahair in intermediate football next season.
