Amber Barrett scores twice in Ireland's 3-2 win over Zambia

Donegal's Amber Barrett scored twice for the Republic of Ireland in a 3-2 win against Zambia in Thursday night's World Cup warm-up at Tallaght Stadium.

Barrett, who recently signed for Belgian side Standard Liege, was introduced as a half-time substitute and scored two goals in the second 45 minutes.

They were her first international goals for Ireland since that memorable finish last October at Hampden Park which secured World Cup qualification for her country.

Fellow Donegal players Ciara Grant and Erin McLaughlin were also introduced as second-half substitutes with McLaughlin making her senior international debut for Ireland.

This was the team's final game before manager Veru Pauw announces her 23-woman squad next Thursday for next month's World Cup finals in Australia and New Zealand.
