Ardara preserved their Donegal senior football championship status for another year on Sunday with a 3-7 to 0-9 victory over St Naul's in their semi-final played at Fintra.

Goals from Kevin Whyte, Shane Whyte and Lorcan O'Donnell were key scores as Damien Devaney's side ensured senior football next season at Pearse Memorial Park.

There was plenty of drama in Killygordon as Bundoran came from 2-7 to 0-1 down at one stage in the first half to force extra-time against Milford.

Peter McIntyre's then move five points clear at one point in the second period of extra-time but then lost their way - as Milford rallied to get the closing scores an emerge winners by three points.

The loss means Bundoran must now face St Naul's in a do-or-die relegtion final.

It's the second consecutive year that Realt na Mara find themselves in the relegation final.

Last year, they needed extra-time to beat Termon and perserve their senior championship.

Elsewhere, Naomh Bríd confirmed their place in intermediate football next year with 2-6 to 0-7 play-off success against Convoy.
