Ardara’s Laoise McGonagle has been selected on the first ever Ireland women’s under-20 rugby squad for a trip to Rome later this month and training matches against Italy and Scotland.
McGonagle, who’s also a noted athlete and gaelic footballer, plays her club rugby with Galwegians and Connacht.
Former Letterkenny Rugby Club player Meabh Clenaghan is also picked for the squad.
Ballybofey's Larissa Muldoon, a former Irish senior rugby international, is now part of the coaching ticket.
