ATU Sligo & ATU Donegal begin Sigerson Cup challenges

The premier competition in third level gaelic football, the Sigerson Cup, begins this week with first round matches taking place across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

ATU Donegal, under the guidance again this year of Maxi Curran, are in action on Wednesday evening when they take on last year's beaten finalists, University of Limerick (UL) at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence in Bekan (7:30pm).

Three-time winners ATU Sligo, who are managed this year by Con O'Meara, travel to Belfast on Thursday evening to play the teacher-training college St Mary's (The Ranch) at the Dub in south Belfast at 8pm.
