There was bitter disappointment for Leitrim hurlers on Saturday in their Lory Meagher Cup game against Louth as the wee county ran out narrow winners in Ballinamore on a final scoreline of 2-18 to 2-16.
The result means Olcan Conway's side miss out on a place in the final - with Louth instead going forward to play Longford in the Lory Meagher decider next Saturday.
The sides were level at half-time (1-8 to 0-11) and level again going into the last minute of normal time - but Louth created two late scores from play in added time to edge to victory.
