Réalt na Mara Bundoran preserved their Donegal senior football championship status after a dramatic one-point extra-time win over Termon at the county GAA Centre of Excellence in Convoy on Saturday night.

Bundoran won on a final scoreline of 0-20 to 1-16.

The result keeps Cathal Corey's side in senior championship football for 2022 - but Termon make the drop to intermediate football.

Termon led by 0-10 to 0-8 - and they moved five clear straight from the re-start when Ricky Gallagher fired to the Bundoran net.

However, Réalt na Mara showed commendable battling qualities in the closing stages of normal time to draw level and force extra-time.

Three points in a row from county player Paul Brennan saw Bundoran edge in front in the extra period.

And they stayed in front (just) until the end.
