North Sligo Athletic Club's Chris O'Donnell followed up Friday night's mixed relay gold medal success with a season's best time in the heats of the men's individual 400 metres on Saturday morning at the European Athletics Championships in Rome.
O'Donnell, running in heat 1 of 3, finished fourth in a season's best time of 45.69secs.
The fastest 14 athletes from three 400 metres heats qualify for the semi-finals - and O'Donnell has secured his place in the top 14 times.
