Sligo’s Dean Clancy will be back in the ring today at the European Youth Championships in Italy.
The youngster won his first round match against a Belarussian opponent yesterday, and will take on a Turkish boxer after lunchtime this afternoon looking for a place in the weekend’s flyweight quarter-finals.
Manorhamilton’s Dearbhla Rooney is already through to the women’s bantamweight quarter-finals.
She defeated a Polish opponent yesterday evening and will be back in action on Sunday.
