No major upsets in the Sligo Southern Hotel Super League Arrow Harps and Saint John’s share the spoils in an eight-goal thriller. Malachy Spratt opening the account for St John’s and Keith Lynch netting twice from the penalty spot plus an own goal insured a point for St John’s. Indeed, they played the last fifty minutes with only ten men as David Heffernan was sent off and spare a thought for poor Kevin Fitzsimmons who was sent from the line. Arrow Harps scorers Frank Quinn Noel Mc Kenna Ben Touhy and Seamus Hailstones.
Aughanagh Celtic and Ballisodare United played a six-goal draw. Bryan Craig Paul Mc Tiernan and Seamus Kane on the mark for Aughanagh. Darragh Healy Adam Grace and Andrew Patton scoring for Ballisodare United.
Calry Bohs continue their recent great form hitting Ballygawley Celtic for five without reply Conor Griffin Kevin Coen Eoin Doherty and a double from Stephen Mc Dermott doing the damage.
In the Andrew Mullens Sligo Pallets Premier League the two big guns clashed Cartron United at home to Cliffoney Celtic no goals for seventy minutes and then it all happened. Niall Thomas scoring for Cliffoney five minutes later Kevin Buckley equalised for Cartron four minutes from time and Chris Mc Loughlin fires Cliffoney into the lead from the penalty spot and in injury time Niall Thomas wrapped up the game for Cliffoney with a cracker of a goal.
MCR had a great win at home to Gurteen Celtic with Junior International Keith Nibbs scoring all five goals from play while Ross O Dowd and James O Hara netted for Gurteen Celtic.
