The postponed 2020 Connacht minor football championship will start on Saturday, December 12th.
Connacht GAA confirmed on Wednesday that the championship will be run as a knockout competition, with all games to be played at the province's GAA Centre of Excellence in Bekan (all 2pm throw-ins unless stated).
It will begin on Saturday week, December 12th, with the prelim round game between Leitrim and Galway.
Leitrim minor manager Benny Guckian told Ocean FM Sport the quick return doesn't give his team much time to prepare.
The winners of that game will then face Roscommon in the Connacht semi-final on Friday, December 18th.
The second semi-final between Sligo and Mayo will be played the following day, Sunday, December 20th.
The final will take place in the New Year on the weekend of January 9th/10th.
All the games will be outdoors. Connacht GAA's new Air dome won't be used because of the current Level 3 restrictions on indoor events.
Ulster GAA has made no formal announcement yet on the minor championship.
What's clear is that Ulster won't be able to start until after December 10th current Covid restrictions in Northern Ireland come to an end.
