There was a morsel of consolation for Sligo and Connacht club champions Coolera/Strandhill on Sunday as their All-Ireland semi-final opponents Cuala (Dublin) lifted the All-Ireland club title for 2025 with a 3-14 to 1-16 win over Errigal Ciaran (Tyrone) at Croke Park.
Cuala became just the second club to win the senior hurling and football titles by winning Sunday's football crown.
Their team includes Dublin All-Ireland winners Con O'Callaghan and Michael Fitzsimmons.
Cuala, who include former Sligo goalkeeper Philip Greene and north Sligo native Enda McGowan on their backroom team, reached the final by virture of a 0-14 to 0-9 victory over Coolera/Strandhill last weekend.
