Derrygonnelly Harps women's gaelic footballers made fresh history for themelves in Omagh on Sunday by lifting the Ulster LGFA intermediate football title with a 2-11 to 2-6 win over Castlerahan-Denn of Cavan.
Eimear Smyth scored 2-9 of Harps total in a fine performance which proved too good for their opponents.
The Cavan champions received a bye to the final after their semi-final opponents Steelstown of Derry were eliminated from the competition following mid-week controversy surrounding an Ulster LGFA change of venue for their last four game, which in the end wasn't played.
