Muireann Devaney scored 2-7 of her side's tally as Glencar/Manorhamilton edged past Sligo Champions St Nathy's in Sunday's Connacht LGFA senior club football quarter-final at Bunninadden, winning on a final scoreline of 2-8 to 2-7.
There was little between the teams for much of the hour but the Leitrim champions, Connacht finalists last year, managed to negotiate their way to the last four of the provincial senior club championship for the second consecutive year.
Joint manager Gerry Hickey and Leah Fox spoke after the win:
Glencar Manor will now face new Mayo senior champions Burrishoole (away) in the semi-final on Monday, Oct 31st.
Current Connacht and All-Ireland champions Kilkerrin-Clonberne will face Clann na Gael (Roscommon) in the other semi-final.
Earlier, there was more success for Glencar/Manor as the club's junior women's footballers lifted their county title with a 2-11 to 1-5 final win over Annaduff.
