Do-or-die night for ATU teams in Sigerson Cup

Wednesday night will be a make-or-break night for both ATU Sligo and ATU Donegal senior gaelic footballers as they face knockout matches in round two of the Sigerson Cup.

The Sigerson is the All-Ireland champoinship for the country's universities.

After losing their round 1 match to holders Ulster University last week, ATU Sligo - managed by Paul Higgins - host ATU Galway in a must-win round 2 fixture in Ballinode at 7pm.

Maxi Curran's ATU Donegal meanwhile, who lost to MTU Cork in Round 1, travel to Kildare to play Maynooth University at 7:15pm.

Defeat for either side would see them exit this year's competition.

There are several Sligo and Donegal players involved in the UCD v DCU round two clash, which is begin livestreamed by the GAA's Higher Education unit on Wednesday night at 7:45pm.
