The Donegal senior football final between Kilcar and holders Naomh Conaill, which had been re-scheduled for next Wednesday, Oct 7th, has now been pushed back to Sunday week, Oct 11th, at MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey with a 3pm throw-in.
The decision was made following a meeting of the Donegal Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) on Thursday evening.
No official reason has been given for this latest fixture change.
The final, originally due to be played last Sunday (Oct 27th), was postponed following a positive Covid test in the Kilcar camp, coupled with growing concern about the increased case numbers in the county.
This had followed confirmation of a positive test in the Donegal senior football panel the previous weekend.
The county's senior footballers are due to play Tyrone in the Allianz Football League on Sunday, Oct 18th, in Ballybofey, which leaves a small enough window for the final to be played before the intercounty action resumes.
