An encouraging second-half performance from Donegal senior footballers saw them overturn at 0-6 to 0-3 first-half deficit to run out convincing 0-14 to 0-9 winners over Clare in Saturday's All-Ireland senior football championship Group 4 opener at Cusack Park in Ennis.
Clare were the better team in the opening half and perhaps should have been further in front at half-time.
However, Donegal were a much improved side in the second 35 minutes and outscored their opponents by 0-11 to 0-3 to secure the win.
Elsewhere, in Killarney in Group 1, Mayo beat All-Ireland champions Kerry by 1-19 to 0-17.
