Donegal hurlers have been relegated from Division 2B of the Allianz Hurling League after losing their relegation play-off to Warrickshire on Saturday at Glennon Pearse Park in Longford on a final scoreline of 2-10 to 0-14.
Two second-half goals from the exiles proved to be the decisive scores.
Donegal had beaten Warrickshire last weekend by 5-18 to 0-17 in their regulation league match but both teams fielded understrength teams for the game - and Saturday's play-off was a very different encounter.
Warrickshire preserve their Division 2B status for next season. Mickey McCann's Donegal make the drop to Division 3A.
