19-year-old Oisin Orr from Rathmullen in Donegal was crowned champion apprentice jockey for the 2017 flat season yesterday.
The apprentice title went right down to the final meeting of the season at Naas and Orr was confirmed champion with 20 winners, just a single win ahead of his chief rival, Killian Leonard.
