There was agony for Donegal and Ulster junior champions Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin on Saturday as Connacht champions An Cheathrú Rua edged to victory in the All-Ireland junior club football final at Croke Park, on a final scoreline of 0-9 to 0-8.
An Cheathrú Rua beat Sligo junior champions Ballymote before Christmas in the Connacht final, en route to Saturday's national decider.
For their part, Naomh Padraig were bidding to become the first Donegal club to win an All-Ireland club football title at this grade.
