Drumcliffe/Rosses Point reach first ever final

Drumcliffe/Rosses Point reached their first ever senior championship final in Sligo on Saturday evening with a dramatic one-point win against last year's finalists Coolera/Standhill at Markievicz Park, on a final scoreline of 1-7 to 0-9.

Niall Collery's second-half goal was a critical score as the north Sligo club overturned a three-point deficit at one stage in the second period to eventually win by one.

This was only their second ever senior semi-final and they now prepare for a first every county final appearance on the weekend of September the 20th.

The second semi-final between holders Tourlestrane, who are bidding for a five-in-a-row, and St Mary's takes place on Sunday afternoon in Markievicz Park at 4pm.
