Eamonn O'Hara set to manage Boyle

Sligo's Eamonn O'Hara is set to become the new Boyle senior football manager in Roscommon.

O'Hara has established credentials in club management, having co-managed his native Tourlesrane to five consecutive Sligo senior football championship titles (2016 to 2020).

More recently, he guided Mohill of Leitrim to back-to-back Connacht Gold senior football championships (2023 and 2024).

However, he has opted moved on from the Leitrim club - and will now take charge of the north Roscommon outfit for 2025.

O'Hara's Tourlestrane club-mate Gerry McGowan had been part of Cian Smith's backroom team in Boyle over the past two seasons.

Smith has since been appointed as the new Roscommon under-20 county manager.

Boyle reached the Roscommon SFC final in consecutive years, (2022 and  2023), losing both county finals to Strokestown and St Brigid's respectively by a single point - and have been regarded as genuine championship contenders in recent seasons.
