EJ Sligo All-Stars to face UCC Demons in National Cup semi-final

EJ Sligo All-Stars will face holders UCC Demons in the semi-finals of the Pat Duffy National Cup.

The All-Stars reached the final with a 84-79 victory over Irish Guide Dogs Ballincollig of Cork at the Mercy College gym on Saturday.

It’s the first time the All-Stars have reached the last four of Irish men’s basketball top tier national cup competition.

Previous cup successes for the team were in the President’s (First Division) Cup.

In the other semi-final, Griffith College Éanna will face Killester.

The semi-finals, which will be televised by TG4, will take place in January.
