SSE Airtricity League Premier Division winners Shelbourne have signed Ellis Chapman from Sligo Rovers.
The 23-year-old has put pen to paper on a long term contract at Tolka Park- and makes the move from the Showgrounds, where he was one of the League of Ireland’s standout performers last season.
Chapman came to Rovers from Cheltenham Town at the start of last season - and was a big hit, scoring nine goals in 34 appearances.
The indications were that Chapman was looking to return to cross channel football - but instead he has signed for Damien Duff's side for the 2025 campaign.
His first encounter against his old club will potentially be on March 29th when Rovers are due to host Shelbourne at the Showgrounds in the first of four league fixtures between the two clubs.
