A new Sligo Camogie board has been set up in the county for the first time.
The inaugural meeting took place on Tuesday evening at the Sligo GAA Centre of Excellence in Scarden.
The new Camogie board will be chaired by Matt O'Mahony (Coolera/Strandhill) - and will look to develop the game across the county at school and club level - in order to provide young female players with an opportunity to play the sport.
The list of main officers on the new Sligo Camogie Board is:
Chaireperson: Matt O'Mahony (Coolera/Strandhill)
Vice-Chair: Orla Fitzpatrick (St Molaise Gaels)
Secretary: Tom Aspell (Tourlestrane)
PRO: Ed Mullaney (St Molaise Gaels).
Interest in camogie has been growing in Sligo in recent times - and Sligo GAA have been assisting the drivers behind the sport in making facilities and resources available over the past 12 months.
16 national schools took part in the recent Sligo Cumann na mBunscol camogie competition.
