Five Leitrim footballers have been named on the LGFA's Division 4 national league team of the season, which was announced on Monday.
Glencar/Manor’s Leah Fox, Kiltubrid’s Michelle Guckian, Ballinamore’s Laura O’Dowd, Carla LeGuen from St Brigid’s and Mohill’s Charlene Tyrell have all been included for their roles in helping Leitrim reach a national league final this season.
Antrim, as Division 4 champion, have the highest representation on the team with seven players.
The Saffron girls beat Leitrim in the Division 4 decider earlier this month at Parnell Park to clinch promotion to Division 3 next year.
Sligo’s Claire Dunne is the sole Yeats County player to make the Division 3 team of the season.
No Donegal players featured in the Division 1 selection.
