The former Republic of Ireland soccer manager Martin O’Neill has lodged an objection with Donegal County Council over the development of a kids soccer pitch in the north of the county.

The Donegal Sport Hub is reporting that the proposed development in Dunfanaghy is for where Dunfanaghy Youths FC, who have been without a home for the past couple of years.

The club is looking to build a pitch, stand and clubhouse facilities at Lurgabrack.

O’Neill, who lives in London, owns Horn Head House, a derelict house, close to the site of the proposed football development.
