Ronan Murray will miss the next four matches for Sligo Rovers following his sending-off against Bohemians last weekend.
Murray was dismissed in the 43rd minute of Rovers 2-0 home defeat against Bohs in the SSE Aitricity League Premier Division after he appeared to throw the ball towards the match referee, in frustration at a decision which had gone against him.
The red card means Murray gets an automatic one-match ban which means he will miss this Friday night's game against his old club - Dundalk. However, the FAI's disciplinary committee is imposing an additional three-match suspension on the player which will see him sit out upcoming fixtures against Waterford, St Pat's and Cork City.
